ArchKey Electrifies A Sustainable Milestone in Downtown East’s Revitalization

Located just one block west of U.S. Bank Stadium, this 265,000 square foot, 26-story, 351-unit high rise is yet another milestone in the build-out of Downtown East Minneapolis, a five-block redevelopment project that began in 2014. While the Downtown East project is inclusive of 1.2M square feet of office space in two 17-story Wells Fargo towers, a 200-unit mid-rise residential complex, a multi-tenant office building, a 4.2 acre public greenspace, hotel, parking ramp, and skyways, Fourth & Park apartment towers becomes the lastest addition to that list. Featuring 365 apartments, 100 parking stalls, a sixth-floor green roof and a rooftop pool deck and community room, this sustainbly minded apartment complex will also feature EV charging stations, a car share program and an array of public transportation options including the LRT.

Scope of Work

Our team delivered electrical and technology design-build work on Ryan Companies recently completed Fourth & Park Apartment complex in downtown Minneapolis providing all electrical, EV and distribution work. Our team utilized project place and the ArchKey Delivery Model to overcome logistical challenges in a congested area of downtown, maintaining operations during football season and concerts, coordinating with Xcel Energy to tie into the downtown loops with both temporary and permanent power, and overcoming supply chain issues to deliver the project on-time.

The technologies scope included network infrastructure, access control, two-way communication, telephone entry system (butterflyMx), pedestrian car warning system and booster antenna solution with an enhanced, powerful signal.
