Legacy Lofts
Legacy Lofts, a design-build 1M square foot, multi-unit residential building located in downtown Minneapolis, MN housed 374-pre-wired condos totaling 700,000 square feet of livable space as well as a number of high-end, modern-living amenities.
The 14-story north tower and 17-story south tower were connected by an 8-floor commons building which featured a golf simulator, VR game suite, pool, fitness center, and nearly 300,000 square feet of climate-controlled parking.
Scope of Work
Our team’s scope as the electrical and low voltage design-build partner was to design and install the electrical infrastructure, power, and lighting. In total all 374 condos were prewired for lighting, DAS, and WiFi prior to tenant move-in.
More than 20% of this project was prefabricated off-site, producing 13-21 units each week. All units were shipped to site utilizing just-in-time delivery to reduce the waste while on-site and eliminate on-site storage. The heavy involvement of prefabrication on this project enabled our field team to focus on connecting prefabricated cabling to a central unit in each condo, reducing time and material costs as well as increasing safety on site.
ArchKey Technologies design-assist scope provided all technologies data/communication cable and media panels in each unit for the building as well as accommodating buyer changes above and beyond the base unit for each of the 374 units.
