Sharks Ice AHL & NHL Locker Rooms

The Shark’s Ice training facility, located in the industrial section of San Jose, CA, received a face lift to their NHL Locker Room and a new addition to the existing structure for their new AHL Locker Room; home of the Barracudas. One of the unique feature used for this project was the use of a Butler Building; a semi-premanufactured frame.

Prior to the delivery and install of the Butler building, a new concrete slab was poured, and footings were installed to support the second story within the new addition. New construction and tenant improvements to the existing NHL Locker Room took place simultaneously. The original facility’s NHL Locker Room was completely remodeled. The breakroom, restrooms and showers were demolished, and new lighting, fire and data were installed throughout. Once the Butler building was delivered, it was set in place over the new concrete slab and new siding was completed.

A state-of-the-art WattStopper lighting control system was installed in the AHL Locker Room. This standalone system was built to adhere to California’s Title 24 requirements and meets current energy efficiency standards.
