Located in downtown St. Louis, this 120,000 square foot design-assist project consisted of renovating a 125 year old historic building into a major public entertainment venue. This project transitioned the building from a shopping mall into an aquarium complete with a 1-million gallon tank as well as several other attractions.
With a 14-month schedule, a build work was completed in the last six months. Additional changes in scope were requested by the owner throughout the build process adding additional complexity to the 125 year historic renovation. Additionally, because the type of environment the renovation was designed for, the project required extensive PVC coated MC cable, a “smurf” tube to be used during the under slab installation, as well as the heavy use of corrosive environment installations for the tanks and pump stations.
