Built in 1926, this design-assist renovation transformed 33 antiquated teaching labs and three lecture halls into vibrant, flexible workspaces to bolster instruction, research, and support services of the School Physics & Astronomy and Earth Sciences. Additionally, this renovation includes the addition of nearly 80,000 square foot as well as other updates to modernize the building bringing it up to code. The renovation meticulously ensured that the historic Tate Hall retain its architectural character as part of the Northrop Mall Historic District.
