U.S. Bank Stadium, located in Minneapolis, MN, is the expansive home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings and served as the venue for Super Bowl LII in 2018. Spanning 1.75 million square feet, this stadium is Minnesota’s largest construction project to date, creating over 7,500 construction jobs by 2017. Construction began in 2014 and the state-of-the-art facility was completed in time for the 2016 NFL season, featuring seating for 66,600 fans, 131 suites, and 7 upscale club lounges.

Scope of Work

Our team handled all electrical contracting, while ArchKey Technologies took charge of the comprehensive technology integration. This included 10 different scopes such as structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, audio/visual setups, bowl audio systems, WiFi, broadcast capabilities, DAS, video production, IPTV, and pathways for system integrations. Key installations included 2,216 speakers—with the highest array positioned up to 205 feet high—398 cameras, 1,105 WiFi points, 1,010 antennas, 10 video walls, and 6,630 network connections. This extensive array of technology ensures U.S. Bank Stadium offers an unparalleled sports and events experience in Minneapolis.
