University of Minnesota Microbiology
The 80,000 square foot microbiology research building is the final addition to the $292 million Biomedical Discovery District at the University of Minnesota. The facility included labs, offices, collaborative “hotel” work areas and support spaces for the study of infectious diseases as well as the development of new drugs and vaccines.
Scope of Work
Our design-assist responsibilities for the University of Minnesota Microbiology building included the construction of the building, as well as all electrical and utility distribution systems, LED lighting systems and protections, emergency and backup generators. Technologies work including fire alarm, access controls, and CCTV security system performed by ArchKey Technologies.
